Upon Completion, Participants will be able to: 

  • Identify the most common presenting problems for middle schoolers

  • Explain how to modify interventions for a client’s developmental (not chronological) age 

  • Confidently select and apply systemic interventions appropriate for each case

  • Make ethical decision related to common challenges in therapy with middle schoolers like therapy refusal, drugs and alcohol, and risky peer relationships

  • Assess for appropriate level of care for middle schoolers
