This training will deepen your understanding of microaggressions in therapeutic settings and their connection to therapist identity and outcomes. Learn effective strategies for identifying and addressing microaggressions at both the client and organizational levels to strengthen your clinical skills. Through practical scenarios, engaging discussions, and small-group exercises tailored to your needs, this training equips you to create a more inclusive, responsive therapy environment.

Upon Completion, Participants will be able to: 

  • Identify microaggressions and recognize how they relate to therapist identity

  • Identify microaggressions that occur in therapy settings. 

  • Assess the impact of  microaggressions on therapeutic outcomes.

  • Recognize microaggressions on the client and organizational levels. 

  • Develop plans for addressing recognized microaggressions on the client and organizational levels.
